Darkness Abstract Digital Art

This piece was produced on December 31st 2022. This is a very dark piece. It was my attempt to part with all the negative thoughts and feeleings from 2022 and enter 2023 feeling optimistic, positive and enthusiastic.

When I look at this piece, I feel like I am entering a cave. Darkness all around and getting darker the further in you go.

I decided to keep the rough texture that you see when you are up close to this painting to add interest. This texture softens with distance. I think that the best viewing distance is around 3 metres. I hope this piece isn't depressing - that wasn't my intention. I hope it makes the viewer feel calm, relaxed but slightly melancholy.
