This piece was produced on February 4th 2023. I love the colours on Peacocks. This painting was inspired by a real Peacock that patrols the grounds at a hotel that I often stay in near Southampton (UK).
I often watch this guy strutting around as if he knows how good looking he is.
The colours on a male Peacock are really strong and vibrant. The blue, green black, white and a hint of orange work really well together. I hope that this piece reflects the character of a Peacock along with the capturing the colours.
I wasn't trying to paint a Peacock. But I attempted to capture the essence of one.
